Compare BT Broadband Deals

Let's Compare BT Broadband Deals

BT are certainly no strangers in the market, in fact they’re a British institution and have a long established record. It’s certainly not a surprise that they are one of, if not the biggest broadband provider in the UK today and they show no signs of slowing down. So, let’s take a closer look at BT and find out whether BT broadband deals are the best or whether it’s worth checking out others too.

Are BT broadband deals unlimited?

BT Broadband deals do come with unlimited usage. This means there is no limit on the amount of content you can download or net time you can use, known as bandwidth.  It’s worth taking note though that as with all providers, BT do have a fair usage policy and could slow down connection speeds at peak times.

What speeds will I get from BT?

Currently the top speed from BT is 67MB maximum. This is the maximum speed you could get, and worth noting that it is not available everywhere in the UK. If this is not available in your area, their fallback speeds are 36MB, fast broadband and 10MB standard broadband. To find out which speeds are available in your area just pop your post code in to the comparison table and it’ll let you know straight away.

Is their BT Fibre Optic Broadband?

BT do have fibre optic broadband but it is not available to the whole of the UK just yet. To find out if it’s available in your area just use our postcode checker.

What about BT TV?

BT TV is something else you could look at too, although channels are limited in comparison to Sky or Virgin Media. Having said that, you can add extra channels that are available on Sky to your BT TV package at a cost.  BT TV works with Youview. Youview lets you pause and rewind live TV, use ctach up services such as ITV Hub, All 4, and BBC iPlayer for example.

You can only get BT TV with BT broadband packages, and it is normally cheaper than competitors like Sky or Virgin, but it could be a winner if you want broadband and some decent TV channels, but don’t want the more loaded TV packages out there.

Do BT offer rewards?

BT broadband deals with rewards are something we see quite often. The quite often offer new customer deals and have offers such as, free Amazon Alexa for example. They also sometimes have a prepaid MasterCard deal at various amounts. This normally brings the cost of your broadband down when you receive this from them to spend wherever you want.

Can I switch and keep my phone number?

You can indeed if you’re not moving house. When you simply switch supplier you can opt to keep your number.  If you’re moving just around the corner for example, then it should also be fine, but if it’s a big move to a different area code, then most likely not. To keep your number when switching to BT, just be sure to look out for the option on the checkout process and they’ll handle it for you.

Should I switch to BT then?

BT certainly are a big contender in the broadband market, they offer decent speeds, offer good rewards, and you can be flexible with your TV if needed. Their wireless Home hub is rated one of the best for wireless range in your home so it should always make for a reliable connection. BT broadband deals are something we would consider indeed, but to get an accurate comparison just pop your postcode in our handy tool to compare all deals.
